Hint soulmate sketch: what it is, what it costs, how it differs
A fair look at Hint's soulmate sketch, using only what Hint's pages say and when we read them, next to what a one-time portrait offers.

The Hint soulmate sketch is a portrait of an imagined partner that comes with a subscription to the Hint astrology app. That is the short answer, and it is where most of the questions come from: people who got a sketch, or a charge, and want to know what they signed up for. Everything below comes from Hint’s own pricing page and terms as we read them on September 29, 2026. Where the pages did not say something, we say so instead of guessing.
The short answer
Hint is an app that sells astrology services, including chats with astrologers, horoscopes and reports. Its Soulmate Sketch is listed as one of the items included in a paid subscription. On its pricing page, read from a US connection on September 29, 2026, Hint listed “$1.00 for your 7-day trial” and “$29.99 every 28 days after your trial,” with “Cancel anytime.” The same page says: “No, Hint is not free but a recurrent subscription service.”
We are not connected with Hint and this is not a review of the app. We did not buy or enter any checkout for this article, so we cannot describe what the sketch looks like inside Hint or how long it takes. What we can do is lay out the terms as published, so you can decide with the facts in front of you.
What Hint is
Hint’s terms of service, last updated July 10, 2026, describe the service as “personalized 1:1 psychic readings, astrological analysis, and related services for entertainment and personal reflection purposes only.” A subscription also includes what the terms call complementary resources, among them daily horoscopes, natal chart analysis, numerology readings, “soulmate sketches and compatibility analysis,” and video courses.
Two lines from those terms matter for how to read the sketch. First: “Our services are not scientific predictions or guarantees of future events.” Second, the same terms say the readings are “based on traditional esoteric and astrological practices, which are not scientifically validated.” Hint is telling you plainly that this is entertainment. That is worth taking at its word.
Hint’s pages did not say how the sketch is made, whether by software, an artist or something else, so we do not say either.
What it costs and how billing works
These are the numbers as published, each with its date and page.
- The offer (hint.app/pricing, September 29, 2026): “$1.00 for your 7-day trial, $29.99 every 28 days after your trial. Cancel anytime.” The pricing page’s FAQ adds that if you cancel within 7 days no further charges apply.
- What the subscription includes: the page lists “Your personalized Soulmate Sketch” among the included items, alongside horoscopes and astrologer chats.
- Renewals differ by offer: the terms (July 10, 2026) say plans can renew daily, every few days, weekly, every two weeks, monthly or quarterly, and that “recurring prices currently range from approximately $1.00 per day to $69.00 per billing period.” They say the most common plan renews monthly at $30.00 to $40.00. They also say the plan and price that apply to you “are shown before you subscribe.”
- Extras cost more: the terms list items sold separately as one-time purchases, not included in the subscription, including “faster delivery of your sketch, the Real Soulmate Sketch, additional soulmate details” and “Your Second Soulmate Sketch.” They put one-time prices at approximately $1.00 to $30.00.
- A quick sum: $29.99 every 28 days comes to 13 renewals in a year, or about $390 if you never cancelled. That is our arithmetic, not a figure Hint states, and your own plan may differ.
Hint’s terms say plans differ by offer, that the plan and price that apply to you are shown before you subscribe, and that subscription features may vary by region. The line to look for on your own sign-up screen is the one that says what you pay after the trial ends, and when.
Does it work?
It depends on what “work” means. If it means “does it deliver a sketch inside a subscription,” Hint’s pages say it does. If it means “does it show the person you will meet,” the honest answer is the same for every soulmate sketch, ours included: no. A portrait made from your answers is an imagined face. It is not a prediction and not a real person. Hint’s own terms say as much in their own words, and we are saying it in ours.
We tell you how ours is made, once. Portraits are created with AI image tools in our pencil-sketch style, and readings are composed with AI writing tools. Our method has been reviewed and approved by an independent practicing psychic we commissioned. We do not claim psychic powers or predictions, and the person in the portrait is imagined, not predicted, and not a real person. It is for entertainment and reflection.
What a sketch can do is give you something to look at, and something to react to. Some people enjoy that. If you are curious about what people are actually getting from these portraits, our guide to free soulmate sketch compares free versions, apps and one-time portraits, and dates every claim.
How to cancel
Hint documents its own steps, so use them. On September 29, 2026 its pricing page said: “Cancel anytime via Profile settings → Manage subscription, or through our Help Center. You’ll keep access until the end of your billing period.”
Three details from the terms are worth knowing before you need them:
- Cancel before the renewal date. The terms say that to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel before your renewal date.
- Access continues to the end of the paid period. Service continues until the end of the current paid period, and the terms say there are no automatic renewals after cancellation.
- Partial refunds. The terms say “we do not provide partial refunds for unused time.”
If your subscription is billed through Apple or Google, the subscription settings in your store account list your active plans as well. Check which one applies to you. The Help Center is the place to ask Hint anything specific to your account.
Refunds
Two statements sit on different Hint pages, and it is worth reading them together. The pricing page says that if you are not satisfied or have technical issues, “you might be eligible for refund,” and points to its Refund Policy. The terms (July 10, 2026) say: “As a general rule, all purchases are non-refundable. In certain circumstances, we may consider refund requests at our sole discretion.” They add that requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase through the Help Center. We did not open Hint’s separate Refund Policy page, so we cannot say more than that.
Hint vs a one-time portrait
Both give you an imagined portrait to look at. The difference is mostly in how you pay and what you get with it.
| Hint (pages read September 29, 2026) | Our soulmate sketch | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | A subscription: $1.00 for a 7-day trial, then $29.99 every 28 days until cancelled | $19, paid once, no subscription |
| What you get | The sketch as one item in a subscription that also includes horoscopes, chats and reports | One portrait in our pencil-sketch style plus a short reading of around 300 words |
| Delivery | Not stated on the pages we read; the terms list faster delivery as a paid extra | By email, usually within minutes and always within 24 hours |
| If something goes wrong | Refunds “at our sole discretion” per the terms; cancel before renewal | Made to order, so the sale is final once creation starts; if yours does not arrive or is faulty we make it again, or refund you if we cannot deliver it |
Neither approach is right for everyone. If you want astrologer chats and a library of horoscopes, a subscription can make sense, provided you have read the renewal terms. If you want one portrait and nothing else, paying once is simpler.
What we did not check
It is worth being open about the limits of this article. We read Hint’s public pricing page and its terms of service. We did not sign up, enter a checkout or see what the sketch looks like inside the app, and we did not open Hint’s separate Refund Policy page. We also read the pages from a US connection on a single day, and Hint’s terms say plans differ by offer and features may vary by region, so what you see may differ from what we saw. Anything not listed above, we did not verify and do not state, including how the sketch is made and how long it takes.
If you already have a Hint subscription and a question about a charge, Hint’s Help Center is the right place. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, your store account shows the plan and the date of the next charge.
Before you pay for any soulmate sketch
A short checklist works for any service, ours included.
- Find the price after the trial, and the date it starts.
- Find the renewal wording and the cancel steps before you sign up.
- Find what happens if the sketch does not arrive or is faulty.
- Read what the service says about what the sketch is. If it says entertainment, believe it.
- Know that nobody can show you a real future person.
The longer version, with the red flags we saw in real sign-up flows, is in our guide to soulmate sketch reviews and how to judge one.
Our guide to who is my soulmate can help you think about what you actually want from a sketch. You can also read the sample reading to see what we deliver, or look at how it is made on how it works.

Common questions
Does Hint Soulmate Sketch actually work?
Hint lists the sketch as part of its subscription, but no soulmate sketch can show a real future person. Hint's own terms say its services are for entertainment and personal reflection and are not scientific predictions or guarantees of future events. Judge it as entertainment, and check the price before you start.
Is the hint app legitimate?
Hint is a real subscription service that publishes its pricing, its cancel steps and its terms. On September 29, 2026 its pricing page said 'Hint is not free but a recurrent subscription service.' We cannot vouch for anyone's experience, so read the renewal and refund wording before you pay.
Do you have to pay for Hint Soulmate Sketch?
Yes. On September 29, 2026 Hint's pricing page listed the sketch as part of a subscription that starts with a 7-day trial for $1.00, then $29.99 every 28 days until cancelled. Its terms also list some extras, such as faster delivery, as separate one-time purchases. Check what your own sign-up screen shows.
How does the soulmate sketch thing work?
You answer questions about yourself and what you look for, and the app or site returns a portrait of an imagined person, often with a short text. The face is a creation, not a finding. Each service uses its own steps, so read its pages for the details, and treat the result as entertainment.
How do you cancel a Hint soulmate sketch subscription?
Hint's pricing page said on September 29, 2026 that you can cancel through Profile settings, then Manage subscription, or through its Help Center, and keep access until the end of the billing period. Its terms add that you must cancel before the renewal date. If billing runs through Apple or Google, their subscription settings also list active plans.
