Nebula, Starla and Astra soulmate drawing apps: how the pricing works
Three apps, three ways to pay. What each one's own pages, store listings and terms said on September 29, 2026, and what they did not say.
By the Soulmate Studio teamPublished 8 min read

Nebula, Starla and Astra all charge for their soulmate drawings through paid plans, and each one sets up the paying differently. Nebula sells a Soulmate Sketch Reading at a checkout and delivers it inside its app, alongside subscriptions and paid psychic chat. Starla lists weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions in the App Store. Astra - Life Advice requires a paid subscription and describes a 3-day free trial in its terms. Everything below comes from each company’s own pages, store listings and terms, read on September 29, 2026. Where a page did not say something, we say that too, instead of guessing.
We did not buy anything or open any checkout for this article. That matters for one number in particular: the price of the Nebula soulmate sketch, which none of Nebula’s pages showed us.

All prices are US App Store or website prices as displayed on September 29, 2026, and can change. Apple lists in-app purchase names and prices, not billing periods, so where a period is missing below, it was missing on the page.
Nebula
Nebula is a large astrology and psychic-chat service. Its US App Store listing, under the seller Spiritual Nebula Limited, describes “spiritual guidance from one of 900 trusted advisors available 24/7 for private psychic readings.” The soulmate sketch is one product among several.
What the Soulmate Sketch Reading is, per Nebula’s help center
Nebula’s help center has one article on the sketch, created June 11, 2026. It says: “After purchasing your Soulmate Sketch Reading, you should receive an email with access details within 30 minutes.” It also says the sketch “is available as a reading/report inside the Nebula app,” so you need the AskNebula mobile app installed to see it.
In other words, the sketch is sold at a checkout, often outside the app, and then delivered into it. That is a normal setup, and it is also the reason some buyers are surprised later: the purchase and the app can sit on different accounts and different billing systems.
Two kinds of Nebula subscription
This is the detail most worth knowing. Nebula’s help center explains that a subscription bought on its website is separate from one bought through Apple or Google: “this type of subscription is exclusively for the AskNebula website,” and “it won’t appear in your mobile device’s subscription management settings.” Its cancel guide, updated August 29, 2026, has five separate routes: the AskNebula website, the App Store, a web subscription on iOS, Google Play, and a web subscription on Android.
Inside the app, the help center says “the ‘Yearly’ subscription is preselected, so to order a 3-day trial user should select it.” On the website, Nebula’s FAQ says the web plan includes “150 welcome credits once and 150 credits every two weeks” for chatting with advisors, charged at 30 credits a minute. Its soulmate reading page sells live chat at “$4.99/min”, with “3 Minutes FREE + 80% OFF For New Customers.”
What Nebula’s pages did not show
Nebula’s pages did not show the sketch price when we read them on September 29, 2026. They also did not say whether the sketch is a one-time purchase or comes with a trial, how the sketch is made, or what the refund terms are; Nebula’s terms page did not load for us, and a search of its help center returned no article on refunds. The App Store in-app list shows “Premium subscription” at $2.99, $7.99, $29.99, $39.99 and $49.99, with no item named as a sketch. We do not state any of the missing facts.
Starla
Starla is the most clearly soulmate-drawing-branded of the three. Its website calls it “YOUR ASTROLOGY COMPANION AND SOULMATE DRAWING,” and its US App Store subtitle is “Soulmate drawing.”
How Starla describes itself
The App Store app is “Starla - Call the Universe,” by Indie Labs LLC. The listing says the app is “Powered by real NASA data and interpreted through expert systems.” NASA data can tell you where the planets were; how an app turns that into a face is not something the listing explains.
One naming trap: on Google Play, an app titled “Starla - Soulmate Drawing AI” is listed under a different developer, Applax Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore. Its listing offers “Soulmate Sketch Drawing” and, in a reply posted on the listing in August 2025, the developer wrote that its sketch “uses advanced AI.” We do not know whether the two Starla apps are related. The stores list different developers, so check the name under the title before you download.
Starla’s US prices, renewals and refunds
The App Store listing shows Starla as free to download with in-app purchases: a weekly subscription at $3.99, a monthly subscription at $9.99, a yearly subscription at $59.99, and Starla Pro items at $9.99 and $14.99. It does not say which of these pays for the soulmate drawing.
Starla’s terms, last updated September 15, 2025, say “Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period,” and that “billing issues, refunds, and cancellations are handled by the store provider.” For refunds, they send you to Apple’s or Google’s own process. The terms include a section called “AI and generated outputs (if applicable).” That wording is conditional, so it does not tell you how the drawing is made, and neither did any other page we read.
Astra - Life Advice
Several apps use the name Astra, which is why we name the developer. The one covered here is Astra - Life Advice by Vert Ventures LLC on the US App Store, whose terms include a section titled “Soulmate Sketch.” Others exist, such as “Astra App Soulmate” by a different developer, and a Google Play app called “Dreamer: Astra Soulmate Sketch.”
Plans, trial and refunds
The listing says: “*Access to Astra requires a paid subscription.” Its in-app purchases are all named “Astra - Unlimited,” at prices from $6.99 to $19.99; the listing does not show which billing period each price covers.
Astra’s terms, last updated June 26, 2025, say: “We offer a 3-day free trial to new users who register with the Services,” after which the account is charged for the chosen plan. The subscription “will continue and automatically renew unless canceled,” cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term, and “All purchases are non-refundable.”
What Astra says about the sketch
Astra is the only one of the three whose pages say how its content is made. Its terms say the advice and information in its apps “are generated through artificial intelligence,” and describe the Soulmate Sketch as “a creative and artistic interpretation” and “a product of imagination and artistic rendering.” Its terms also say the service “is for entertainment purposes only.” We did not verify whether the sketch is included in the subscription or sold separately.
Saying how a portrait is made is the fair thing to do, so here is the same statement about ours, once. Portraits are created with AI image tools in our pencil-sketch style, and readings are composed with AI writing tools. Our method has been reviewed and approved by an independent practicing psychic we commissioned. The person in the portrait is imagined, not predicted, and not a real person.
How to cancel an app subscription
Where you subscribed decides where you cancel, and that is the step people miss.
- Bought in an iPhone app? Cancel in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Apple’s own guide: cancel a subscription from Apple.
- Bought in an Android app? Cancel in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions. Google’s own guide: cancel, pause, or change a subscription on Google Play.
- Bought on a website? It will not show up in either store. Cancel on the website itself; for Nebula, that is Manage Subscription in your AskNebula profile, per its help center.
- Asking for a refund? Starla’s terms send App Store refund requests to Apple’s refund process. Astra’s terms say purchases are non-refundable. For Nebula, contact its support, since we found no published refund page.
Deleting an app does not cancel its subscription in either store. Before the next billing date, check that the subscription is gone from the list, not only from your home screen.
A one-time alternative
If you want one portrait and nothing that renews, a one-time purchase is simpler to reason about. Ours is $19, paid once, no subscription. You answer seven quick questions, and we send one portrait in our signature pencil-sketch style with a short written reading of around 300 words, by email, usually within minutes and always within 24 hours.
It is for entertainment and reflection, and the price does not change after a trial because there is no trial. Each portrait is made to order, so the sale is final once creation starts; if yours does not arrive or is faulty we make it again, or refund you if we cannot deliver it.
Example portraitFor how we put a portrait together, see how it works. If Hint is also on your list, its 28-day billing is laid out in our Hint soulmate sketch guide, and our checklist for judging any soulmate sketch works on every app here, and on us.
What we could not verify
To be clear about the edges of this article: we read public pages from a single day and did not subscribe to anything. We could not verify the price of Nebula’s Soulmate Sketch Reading, whether it comes with a trial, or Nebula’s refund terms. We could not verify which Starla purchase pays for the drawing or the length of any Starla trial. We could not verify the billing period of each Astra price or whether Astra’s sketch is included in the plan. We did not verify how Nebula or Starla make their drawings. What your own sign-up screen shows is the price that applies to you; read it before you tap confirm.
Common questions
Is the nebula app real or fake?
Nebula is a real app with a US App Store listing, a help center and published cancel steps. Its sketch is a real purchase you view inside the app. Whether a sketch shows a real future partner is a different question, and no app can promise that. Check which subscription you are on before you pay.
What is the app that draws your soulmate?
Several apps offer it. Starla calls itself an astrology companion and soulmate drawing app, Nebula sells a Soulmate Sketch Reading viewed in its app, and Astra - Life Advice has a Soulmate Sketch section in its terms. All three list paid plans. Names overlap across stores, so check the developer before you download.
Is there a Starla soulmate drawing for free?
The App Store lists Starla as free to download with in-app purchases, including weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions as of September 2026. Its listing does not say which purchase includes the drawing, so we cannot say whether any drawing is free. Look for the price on the screen before you confirm anything.
How do I cancel a Nebula subscription?
First work out where you subscribed. Nebula's help center says a subscription bought on its website does not appear in your phone's App Store or Google Play settings, so you cancel it from Manage Subscription in your AskNebula profile. A plan bought in the app is cancelled in Apple's or Google's subscription settings.
